Cisco Systesm Inc. announced recently that it would be setting up a manufacturing base in India. Initially, the facility would be manufacturing IP phones. Cisco Chief Mr.John Chambers also promised to move 20% of top executive positions to India to augment the Company's global aspirations. The manufacturing plant will be setup in Chennai, Tamilnadu.
Cisco also plans to setup $100 million for investing in high-growth companies in India. Cisco has significant presence in India, with several hundreds of employees working at its Bangalore office.
